SunVox Principle Sounds is a collection built around the idea that a sound need not remain faithful to its original instrument in order to retain something of its character.
The sounds begin with the musical vocabulary of the Renaissance and proceed through the electronic and modular world of SunVox. Plucked strings, winds, reeds, voices, percussion, drones and other instrumental colours are treated as principles from which new sounds may be formed.
This makes the collection useful not only as a source of finished sounds, but as material for further construction.
SunVox is particularly well suited to this approach. Its combination of synthesis, sequencing and modular processing makes it possible to take a simple instrumental idea and carry it somewhere entirely different.
Use these sounds in compositions, patterns, ambient works, electronic pieces, experimental music or as raw material for your own instruments.
