VCV Rack Instrument Designs is a collection of modular instruments rather than a conventional preset bank.
The patches have been built as complete working arrangements of modules, allowing the individual parts of a synthesiser or instrument to remain visible and open to investigation. The collection includes instruments, effects, MIDI and sequencing patches, drums, atmospheric sounds and Neo-Renaissance designs.
Among the included designs are choir, bells, air and noise instruments, drones, brass and string-derived sounds, alongside larger constructions
The purpose is to give you something to open, play and then dismantle.
Change a module. Follow a signal. Replace an oscillator. Alter the modulation. Discover why the patch behaves as it does.
VCV Rack is at its most interesting when the instrument itself becomes part of the composition. These designs are made with that in mind.
